No Place, Here
Installation
For the exhibition, No Place, Here, I made six identical books that shared the title of the show. Inside the books were texts and photographs of sculptures taken inside a miniature gallery. The books were attached to two columns and set on top of two huge, bright blue forms that wrapped around the bottom of each column. These forms, which resembled the sculptures in the books, were made out of spandex and filled with foam and sand. A large wall text instructed people to sit down on them and read one of the books. Several large prints of the photographs from the books were pinned on one wall, a small sculpture protruded from another, and a video of a performance, Rm 715F, was projected on a third wall.
